The piezoelectric transducers employed for interior ballistics are subjected to short high pressure shock pulses, that stress the sensors and the sensors case. The stresses repeated can cause transducers sensitivity and linearity changes, so periodical calibrations are requested.
The pressure transducers, mounted in contact with oil in the pressure chamber of HPPC equipment, are connected to BWB measuring and evaluation unit that permits to execute the calibration measurements and calibration data management.
